My cousin Lisa got married in July in Montana...and I got to go...kid free!! She was married near Bozeman, MT at Chico Hot Springs Resort. It was lovely! We had great weather the whole time and the scenery was gorgeous.
I signed up for plenty of activities! We were only about 30 minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone, so Dad and I went on a white water rafting trip on the Yellowstone River. It was cold, but fun! The rapids weren't too scary and no one fell in.
We didn't have enough time to actually enter the park...next time.
We also signed up for a trail ride. The trail ride ended up being more exciting than the white water rafting! Mom was supposed to come too but didn't even make it up onto her horse before she called it quits.
Our guide got off her horse to take our picture and the horse literally ran away....so I ended up having to give up my steed so she could go catch him. Then on our way back we took a more adventurous route back and Dad's horse tripped and Dad ended up falling off. No one was hurt but it was an interesting couple of hours!
The setting was really pretty for the wedding...but hot! The Montana sun can be brutal!
The cousins...
The food and music were great. We danced the night away. Congrats to Lisa and Corey!
Travel dorks on our way home...
