Spring is Here!

Dance is officially over the year...my kids all did fantastic and I couldn't have been prouder. Recital is always so much fun.

After a long wait for FEMA to get our paperwork approved...we finally got the green light to go ahead and move forward with the new clinic. We finally have walls!

I recently took a photography class and so I've tried to dust off my 'big' camera and use it more rather than shooting with my iPhone. Wrigley is still one of my favorite subjects...since he tends to hold still  long enough for me to get a good shot! He turned 8 this past April.

We spent part of Memorial Day weekend in Washington with my parents. We visited the cemetery. Nathan ran a 5k and we went to a few graduation parties. Jo graduated from WHS this year and will be attending UNI in the fall.

We left Sunday morning to drive to Ames to attend the high school graduation of Caleb. Caleb is the son of one of Nathan's fraternity brothers who was killed in a car accident their sophomore year of college. Quite a few guys came to the party...these guys all helped raise Caleb his first few years of life...they would help Tiffany by babysitting him at their fraternity house while she attended classes. They had a great time catching up.

We stayed at the Memorial Union so we could take Viv on her first campus tour the next morning. I brought my 'big' camera so I had fun practicing some techniques. Viv enjoyed running around campus. And we enjoyed showing it to her!

18 months

Stats: 21# 11 oz (37%), 31.5 inches long (40%), head circumference 46.5 cm (57%). Still able to wear 12 month size clothes and size 3 diapers. Favorite foods are still anything involving cheese- cottage cheese and cheese sticks, sweet potato fries, tomatoes, ham, ground beef with pasta sauce, pears, mandarin oranges, peaches, chips, and new to the list...asparagus! She guzzles water from her sippy cup. We still feed 4-7 oz of whole milk in a bottle before bed. She still loves her pacifier and Wrigley. She still says 'uh-oh' all the time and has recently started to say 'hi'. Most of the time she grunts/whines when she wants something and she's very versed with using her pointer finger. She's pretty independent and runs away from you in pretty much any area where you don't want her to...hence why I bought her a leash. She loves to be chased and thinks it's quite the game....we are not so impressed. She loves bath time and being outside. She avoids eye contact with people she doesn't know and when they try and talk to her she covers her eyes with her hands. She still won't let us leave her in any nursery without an epic meltdown.

She's loving her new sand and water table...much to my dismay she loves to dump the sand into the water or onto the patio.

We've made a few trips to the park and she seems to enjoy the swings and slides.

A cute outfit from Gma Julie...

Mother's Day at The Doubletree downtown...

...and then meeting my side of the fam in Iowa City to celebrate.

Cyclone Tailgate Tour in Cedar Rapids....

She was not so impressed with Cy...

Big 12 MBB tournament and CyHawk trophies...

Coach Hoiberg is recovering from heart surgery (and AD Jamie Pollard for that matter) and everyone is wondering if Fred is going to stick around for another season or move onto the NBA and potentially coach for the Bulls.

Harper had a lot of fun playing with 'Bivian'...

She loves to stand on things and is pretty proud of herself!

We love playing in the backyard!

I'm so thankful that we installed a TV into our bathroom...it's helpful when we are trying to get ready in the morning...

She still loves books...

One of many play dates with cousins we hope!...

Nathan ran the Relay for Life 5k in Washington last weekend....Gpa Terry demonstrating how to use the leash...

Giving Daddy a hug after he finished...

She was enamored with some horses at one of the graduation parties we attended this weekend...she wasn't the least bit scared of them.
